MXGP OF LOMBARDIA

Assomotor Honda Redmoto a target nella soffocante Ottobiano

L’MXGP della Lombardia, tenutasi nel circuito di Ottobiano a sud-ovest di Milano, e’ stato caratterizzato dalle altissime temperature che hanno raggiunto i 32 gradi centigradi, testando l’uomo e la macchina al limite.

Alberto Forato è forte nella sessione di prove libere del sabato, cerca in ogni modo di accaparrarsi il secondo tempo, poco prima il compagno di squadra EMX250 Mathys Boisrame nella sessione di qualifica faceva segnare il miglior tempo del suo gruppo.

Per Boisrame, che ha conquistato vittorie in Francia e Russia salendo sul podio due volte in tre gare, il fine settimana purtroppo non va come avrebbe voluto. 20 ° posizione in gara uno sufficiente per aggiudicarsi un solo punto, purtroppo il francese non sarà in grado di correre la seconda manche.

Nel frattempo, in EMX250, Forato conquista il nono posto di gara 1 e il settimo in gara due, consolida così la terza posizione di campionato.

Nella classe MXGP, a bordo del CRF450R, Alessandro Lupino, sfidando il caldo torrido, si aggiudica il 13° posto in gara 1 ed il 9° in gara due, 11 ° complessivo. A ridosso dell’obiettivo top ten, ma davanti a molte squadre ufficiali, tenuto conto inoltre delle difficili condizioni.

La prossima gara è l’MXGP del Portogallo fra pochi giorni, il 1-2 luglio.

Alessandro Lupino:
La scorsa settimana abbiamo fatto diversi test, migliorando le sospensioni, anche con il mio preparatore abbiamo fatto passi avanti. Ero fiducioso per questo fine settimana, sin da sabato riuscivo ad essere veloce, ma l’alta temperatura ha non mi ha permesso di prendere alcun rischio. Purtroppo sono stato coinvolto in una caduta nella gara di qualifica, ma fortunatamente nulla di grave, sono riuscito così a recuperare mantenendo una buona velocità’. Entrambe le manche non sono partite nel migliore dei modi, la posizione al cancelletto non era favorevole, ma come ho detto prima, quando ti diverti sulla moto, la velocità arriva, e devo dire che mi sono divertito parecchio anche quando la pista era completamente rovinata. Mi sento in forma, riesco a spingere sino alla fine anche in condizioni sfavorevoli, quindi sono molto contento. Speravo di chiudere nella top ten, ma ho chiuso all’11° posto. Ora ci prepariamo per il Portogallo, come obiettivo la top ten, penso sia qualcosa straordinario poter combattere con i primi dieci posti e riuscire a stare davanti a tanti team ufficiali.

Alberto Forato:
Oggi ho fatto una buona gara, ho concluso 9 ° nella prima manche e 7° nella seconda. Ora sono terzo in campionato, sono contento. Ad Ottobiano la temperatura era molto alta, siamo stati molto attenti nel controllare la situazione cercando di mantenere il ritmo fino alla fine. Ho avuto una buona sensazione con la moto e sono contento per i risultati ottenuti sino a qui.

Alfredo Bevilacqua:
Appena concluso il GP di Lombardia disputato ad Ottobiano, dove il caldo ha fatto vittime illustri, il nostro Alessandro Lupino ha fatto due gare superlative.
In questi ultimi GP Alessandro è sempre cresciuto facendo vedere finalmente il suo vero potenziale. Sono molto contento che la squadra, nonostante il caldo torrido, abbia fatto un lavoro egregio.
Valentin fermo a causa della frattura rimediata nel GP di Russia e relativa operazione alla mano, si sta riprendendo e tornerà al più presto a gareggiare.
Veramente un ottimo lavoro da parte di tutta la squadra e dello staff al completo, grazie a tutti gli sponsor e amici che ci sono venuti a trovare presso il nostro hospitality.

Francesco Maifredi:
L’EMX250 ad Ottobiano, e’ stata veramente difficile. Sia Alberto sia Mathys, hanno dimostrato ancora una volta di poter combattere in ogni situazione per le prime posizioni. Boisrame nelle qualifiche ha impressionato tutti aggiudicandosi con un giro secco la pole. Forato consolida una terza posizione in campionato. In ogni prova sino a qui disputata il team ha saputo migliorare e crescere. Sono fiducioso ed orgoglioso per l’ottimo lavoro della squadra al completo.

Assomotor Honda Redmoto on target in sweltering Ottobiano

The MXGP of Lombardia, held at the Ottobiano circuit southwest of Milan, was a sweltering affair as temperatures reached 32 degrees Celsius and tested man and machine to the limit.

Alberto Forato came out strongly in the free practice session on Saturday, setting intent with second fastest, just before EMX250 teammate Mathys Boisrame topped the times in his group’s qualifying session.

For Boisrame, who has taken wins in France and Russia to climb the podium twice in three races, the weekend didn’t unfold as he might have liked. 20th in race one was enough to salvage one point, but then the Frenchman wasn’t able to start the second race.

Meanwhile in EMX250, Forato continued strongly to take 9th in race one and 7th in race two, which consolidates his third position overall in the World Championship.

In the MXGP class, aboard the CRF450R, Alessandro Lupino once again impressed in the heat, finishing 13th in race one and 9th in race two for 11th overall – just outside his target of top ten but ahead of many factory teams in what were very difficult conditions.

The next race is the MXGP of Portugal in just a few days, on 1-2 July, as the second of a back-to-back double-header.

Alessandro Lupino:
Last week we went to test and we improved the suspension and also with my trainer we improved a lot. I was confident for this weekend and already from Saturday was pushing hard, but the weather was really hot so it was very hard and we all had to take it a little easy. Unfortunately I had a pretty big crash at the start of the qualifying race but fortunately it was nothing serious and I could come back with good speed. Both motos started not so good because I was completely last to pick the gate because of the crash, but I’ve said before when you have fun on the bike then the speed is coming and I had a lot of fun, even when the track was really bumpy. I see that I am fit because I push until the end even in the heat so I’m very happy about this. I hope to be in the top ten but I finished 11th – so we go to Portugal aiming for the goal of top ten overall, but even so I think it is something amazing that we can be fighting for the top ten ahead of so many factory teams.

Today was a pretty good race, to finish 9th in race one and 7th in the second race. Now I’m third overall in the championship which I’m happy about. Ottobiano was very hot so we had to be careful to control how much to push to keep the pace until the end, but I have a very good feeling with the bike and am pleased with where we are at this point in the season
