Risultati inaspettati nel finale di stagione per il Team Honda Redmoto

Questo weekend ha visto la stagione MXGP 2017 impegnata nell’ultima prova tenutasi a Villars-sous-Écot, in Francia, dove il Team Honda RedMoto ha raccolto risultati fra loro diversi seppur soddisfacenti.
Ottime le prove del sabato per i piloti Assomotor. Alessandro Lupino conferma il suo buono stato di forma nelle prove libere registrando tempi a ridosso della top ten. Il compagno di squadra Valentin Guillod, risalito in sella dopo il lungo infortunio, termina le due sessioni al 16° e 15° posto.
Tuttavia le buone condizioni del tracciato peggiorano drasticamente a causa della forte pioggia, rendendo il terreno estremamente scivoloso. Nella gara di qualifica Lupino parte bene e da subito si trova a combattere per le prime dieci posizioni. L’italiano a due giri dalla fine perde qualche posizione, il numero #77 chiuderà 12°, davanti al vincitore MXGP 2017 Antonio Cairoli.
Il ritorno di Guillod inizia nel migliore dei modi, a bordo della sua Honda CRF450R alla fine del primo giro è in quarta posizione. Purtroppo a causa di un paio di incidenti, il pilota svizzero sarà rilegato al 18esimo posto.
Pioggia e fango diventano i protagonisti del fine settimana, con condizioni del tracciato analoghe alla gara di qualifica. In gara uno Lupino parte bene e alla fine del primo giro è ottavo, poi per tutta la manche l’italiano dovrà combattere duramente contro il pilota Honda Factory Bobryshev, Lupino si aggiudicherà il 13° posto. Nel frattempo Guillod, seppur registrando una buona partenza, a causa dei numerosi incidenti chiuderà 24°.
La seconda manche vede i piloti di Honda RedMoto, relegati nelle ultime posizioni. Lupino riuscirà a recuperare numerose posizioni passando dal 23° al 17° posto. Purtroppo Guillod, non sarà in grado di terminare la manche, si aggiudicherà pertanto il 27° posto.
La classifica finale del campionato MXGP 2017, consolida Alessandro Lupino e Valentin Guillod di Honda RedMoto, rispettivamente al 16° e 21° posto.

In scena anche l’ultima prova del Campionato Europeo 250, in azione Mathys Boisramé e Alberto Forato.
Boisramé, rende felice il pubblico di casa, facendo registrare in qualifica il terzo miglior tempo. Forato a bordo del suo CRF250R, si aggiudicherà la 15° posizione.
Gara uno caratterizzata da un circuito reso difficile dalle forti piogge. Forato 15° alla fine del primo giro, riesce a mantenere un buon ritmo sino alla fine recuperando molte posizione aggiudicandosi così l’ottavo posto.
Il compagno di squadra Boisramé parte bene, sesto alla fine del primo giro grazie ad incredibili sorpassi riesce a raggiunge la prima posizione.
Tuttavia, un incidente sfortunato costringe Boisramé al ritiro. Il francese chiuderà in 34° posizione.
In gara due Boisramé parte bene, quarto alla fine del primo giro. Recupera sino al terzo posto poi le condizioni drammatiche del circuito lo rilegano all’11° posizione.
Forato parte bene poi un incidente gli costerà alcune posizioni. Purtroppo le improbabili condizioni del terreno costringono molti piloti a tagliare il tracciato al fine di riuscire a superare i tanti piloti caduti e bloccati nel fango, questo costerà la squalifica di Alberto.
Alla fine della stagione Alberto Forato e Mathys Boisramé si aggiudicheranno il quarto ed il nono posto nella classifica di campionato in sella alle loro CRF250R.

“ EMX 250 ricco di soddisfazioni per Assomotor Jr Team, Forato e Boisrame’ mi hanno regalato una stagione indimenticabile. Pochi Team Manager nella loro carriera hanno avuto la fortuna di salire a podio con entrambe i piloti, ricorderò la gara di Ernée in Francia per sempre. Il tutto e’ stato possibile attraverso il grande lavoro dei meccanici che hanno saputo creare quell’armonia che richiama il senso di famiglia.
Ricordo inoltre la gioia nel vedere entrambe i nostri piloti Forato e Boisramè rappresentare le proprie nazioni nel Mondiale a Squadre tenutosi in Polonia lo scorso agosto, dove rispettivamente sono stati protagonisti nell’ottenere il terzo ed il primo gradino del podio.
Grazie a tutte le aziende che ci sono state vicine e hanno fattivamente contribuito a far si che tutto questo si potesse realizzare.” __

Mixed results for Honda RedMoto at final round of the year

This weekend saw the 2017 MXGP season come to a close at Villars-sous-Écot, France, where Honda RedMoto came away from the event with mixed results.
Saturday started with perfect conditions for the Assomotor supported riders, where Alessandro Lupino continued his strong form and finished just outside of the top-ten in both Free and Timed Practice. Team-mate Valentin Guillod, who is returning from injury, finished the two sessions in 16th and 15th.
However, the good conditions soon changed to difficult ones as the rain fell, transforming the French track into a slick one. A good start in the qualifying race saw Lupino battling to find his way into the top-ten. The Italian rode hard to make up places and found himself in 11th with two laps to go. Unfortunately, ‘77’ slipped into 12th but was able to hold off Antonio Cairoli, the 2017 MXGP Champion to maintain his position at the chequered flag.
The returning Guillod had a blistering start aboard his Honda CRF450R and found himself in fourth at the end of the first lap. Unfortunately a couple of crashes kept the Swiss rider from realising his potential, and he finished 18th.
Rain and mud seemed to the recurring theme throughout the weekend, with conditions on race day similar to those experienced during the qualifying race. A great start saw Lupino power into eighth on the first lap, before embarking on a race long battle with factory Honda rider Evgeny Bobryshev. Lupino finished the first moto 13th. Meanwhile Guillod had a steady start but struggled in the conditions to make his way through the pack and finished 24th.
The second moto saw the Honda RedMoto pair riding together at the end of the first lap, albeit towards the back of the pack. Lupino was quick to start making his way through the field aboard his CRF machinery, making his way from 22nd to 13th over the course of the 17 laps. Unfortunately, Guillod was unable to complete the second moto and was classified in 27th.
At the end of the 2017 season Honda RedMoto’s Alessandro Lupino and Valentin Guillod finish the championship standings 16th and 21st respectively.

The European 250 Championship also concluded at the French hard pack track, which saw Mathys Boisramé and Alberto Forato back in action.
Boisramé, who was competing in front of his home crowd,
gave the fans something to cheer about after setting the third fastest time in his Timed Practice group. Meanwhile, Forato posted the 15th fastest time aboard his CRF250R.
The first moto, raced on Saturday, saw difficult conditions with heavy rain and slick mud. Forato found himself 15th at the end of the first lap, but used the difficult conditions to his advantage and powered through the pack to finish eighth. Meanwhile, team-mate Boisramé had a better start and found himself sixth on the first lap, which then became second after some incredible overtakes.
Powered with a combination of his CRF machinery and the home crowd, Boisramé looked set to finish the first moto in the top three, and even took the lead on the sixth lap. However, an unfortunate crash kept him from bringing home the result he wanted. The Frenchman finished the first moto 34th.
Boisramé had another flying start in the second moto and was fourth in the first lap. However, the second moto became a repeat of the first. The Frenchman made his way into third before a crash unfortunately meant that he could only finish 11th.
After a good start, Forato started to make his way through the pack and gain positions. Unfortunately, after an incident that cost him some places he was deemed to have cut the course when re-joining the track, along with four other riders, and was disqualified from the race.
At the end of the season Alberto Forato and Mathys Boisramé finished the championship aboard their CRF250R machines in fourth and ninth respectively.

Many satisfaction with Lupino, even if the start was not so easy, he was able to grow race after race, obtaining prestige results, giving us strong emotions.

“EMX 250 full of satisfaction for Assomotor Jr Team with Forato and Boisramè gave me an unforgettable season. Few Team Managers in their career have been fortunate to pick up the podium with both riders, I will remember Ernee’s race in France forever. All this has been possible through the great work of the mechanics who have been able to create the harmony that draws the sense of family.
I also remember the joy of seeing both of our riders Forato and Boisramè to represent the prominent nations in the World Cup held in Poland last August, where they respectively played the lead in getting the third and first steps of the podium.
Thanks to all the companies that have been close to us and have made an effective contribution to making this happen. “
